Welcome to the Small Business Intelligence ™ forum section!
Throughout next year (2003) we will feature special business related guest speakers in this forum and hold small business chats on topics of interest to our members.
There are two fantastic features to this forum for our SBI subscribers.
Firstly, the "realtime, live" chatroom, where we will have those featured scheduled chats on topics of interest to our members. It is also a place where members can have realtime chats with other members and business associates on business related topics.
For the time being, this chatroom will be available to all members & non-members alike, so that everyone can get some experience and insight into the value that is inherent in such a service. After an initiation period, however, this function will only be available to "fee paying" members. (Naturally!)
The second most invaluable resource for SBI members is the Discussion Board. This is where you, as a member of SBI can access this Discussion Board to post items of general interest to our small business community.
Of course it is NOT for the purpose of blatant advertising and such advertisments will not only be removed, but may result in someone being excluded from the Discussion Board facility, for the benefit of all of our members! (Though we don't think we have any members who would abuse the system, so we're feeling confident that this will not occur.)
Through this forum, both using the Chat Room and the Discussion Board, small business owners wanting feedback, support and ideas from other small business owners and "like-minded" thinkers, (who are also not too closely involved in their businesses), can get this invaluable advice/information right here.
By doing so, no doubt they will also be able to form some great online business relationships with other business people who are more than likely to be real winners (just for the mere fact that they are here to learn from others) and probably going somewhere in their businesses.
These are the kinds of business owners you should be networking with! These are the people who have the potential to become your "mentors"!
(Sometimes your family cannot have this role, as they often don't share the passion equally with you, and/or threats of divulging sensitive trade secrets make it difficult to have a local mentor, in whom you can confide your deepest commercial fears/secrets/successes!)
Through this SBI forum, such relationships have the potential to develop. Especially, if you make a commitment to join in the forum on a regular basis and get to know some of the participants.
As our membership grows and the Chatroom and Discussion Board becomes really busy, then of course, it will have to be restricted to "members only".(Members at all levels.)
But this should be no problem to entrepreneurs who can see the excellent value that a subscription to the SBI will give them!
After all, you get what you pay for in this life, and being in business, you know that you can't offer too much for nothing, if you are to survive!
