Sue Currie

TOPIC: "Priming the Press"

Sue Currie is a media specialist who has over fourteen years experience working with TV stations across the country. After working as the local news presenter for Prime in Wagga Wagga she was transferred to Wollongong. There she took up the position of public relations manager, where her PR skills were honed. She has worked on many publicity campaigns for TV shows including Good News Week, Race Around the World, ABC news, arts programs, various documentaries, comedy and drama series. Her work involved media liaison, writing press releases and press kits, organising interviews and photo shoots, and event management of program launches. Sue now runs a public relations company, Sue Currie Communications. She has worked with clients such as Film Australia, The NSW Animal Welfare League, World Vision and Nickelodeon International running the public relations campaigns relevant to their product, using a wide range of communication skills. Winning editorial coverage in the press, on radio and television is Sue's speciality. At the breakfast she will share with us some tips that have created her success and where to go to get public interest in any of your projects.

Sue will show us some business tactics vital to every business - it's about getting public interest in your business and appealing to your market!
